Apply to La Fémis
Admission to La Fémis is highly selective and takes place through three distinct competitive examinations, each tailored to a specific academic and professional profile:
- Main competitive examination ("Concours général") — open to candidates aged under 27 with at least a two-year degree (Bac+2), selecting students for the seven core departments;
- International competitive examination — for non-French-speaking candidates with a strong cinema background, conducted partly in English;
- Continuing Vocational Training admissions — for film and audiovisual professionals seeking to expand or specialise their expertise.
Application timeline
The main competitive examination is held annually from January to July, with three rounds including written tests, a creative dossier review and oral interviews. Detailed timelines, eligibility criteria and registration links are available in the French-language pages and on the OASIS platform.
Tuition fees & financial aid
As a French public institution, La Fémis charges state-regulated tuition fees. Several forms of financial aid are available, including CROUS scholarships and dedicated school grants for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
