International programmes and partnerships
La Fémis is deeply committed to international exchange and dialogue. Through its partnerships with leading film schools around the world and its dedicated international examination, the school welcomes students, filmmakers and researchers from over 30 countries each year.
For prospective international students
International Competitive Examination
The international examination is open to non-French-speaking candidates with a strong cinema background. Selection is conducted partly in English and prepares students for the school's main directing programme.
Exchange programmes
La Fémis is a member of the CILECT network (International Association of Film and Television Schools) and maintains active exchange agreements with film schools in Berlin, Lodz, Cologne, Mumbai, Beijing, Buenos Aires, New York, Los Angeles and others.
For partner institutions
The school regularly co-organises joint masterclasses, workshops and research projects with international partners. Programming, festival collaboration and faculty exchange are coordinated through the International Office.
